Kim Ho Wong
July 22, 1954 - March 6, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Kim on Friday, March 6, 2026, at North York General Hospital. Surrounded by the warmth and love of his family, Kim’s long and courageous journey came to a quiet end.
For the past 20 years, Kim faced significant health challenges with remarkable strength. His path was marked by years of dialysis and the complexities of a kidney transplant, followed by a final, difficult battle with both kidney and lung cancer. Despite these hardships, his spirit remained steadfast until the very end.
Kim is now reunited with his beloved parents, his sister, Irene, and brother-in-law, Sylvester, who predeceased him. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his partner, May Lynne; his siblings, Bonita and Michael (Sandy); and his sisters-in-law, Susan (Alfred) and Vivienne.
Kim is also fondly remembered by his nephews and nieces: Shawn (Kelly), Audrey (Cláudio), Pan (Paul), Lisa (Dean), John (Maru), Alan, Jennifer (Jack), Shirley (Kyle), and Kevin (Christina); and his grand-nieces and grand-nephews: Victoria, Elizabeth, Steven, William, Alexandra, Kenneth, Sophia, Kaitlyn, Connor, Samantha, John, Jamie, and Lochlan.
The family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to Dr. Michael Law. His dedicated care and support as Kim’s family doctor provided great comfort through many difficult years. We also thank the staff at North York General Hospital for their compassion in Kim’s final hours.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a viewing and funeral service to celebrate Kim's life on Monday, March 16, 2026. A visitation will take place at York Funeral Centre 160 Beecroft Road, Toronto from 10 am to 11 am on Monday March 16, 2026. The service will follow at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Willowdale Christian Reformed Church.
