Katherine Torbar nee Tsanou, 85, passed away peacefully holding her daughter's hand on July 18, 2026, just two days shy of her 86th birthday. Born in Zeleniche, Macedonia, on July 20, 1940, Katherine emigrated and built a beautiful, meaningful life defined by love, family, and community.A kind, generous, and deeply compassionate soul, Katherine dedicated her life to the happiness and well-being of others. She was the loving and devoted anchor of her family, known for her warm heart and selflessness.
Katherine was the beloved wife of Chris Torbar, with whom she shared 65 wonderful years of marriage. She was a deeply cherished mother to her son, Robert, and her daughter, Debbie. Her legacy of love lives on through her adored grandchildren, Jimmy and Leah. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
