The family of Justin George Walmsley is devastated to announce the passing of their beloved son, brother, and uncle.
Justin was an eccentric old soul with a creative spirit and an artistic approach to life. He expressed himself through his art, writing short stories, poems, and his always evolving never ending book which was fueled by his deep love of reading and intellect. Justin enjoyed serving the public as a barista in small cafés in Toronto's downtown area, where his authentic, inimitable and loving nature touched many.
He loved traveling the world and explored much of Europe, but his favorite place to visit was New Orleans, a city whose spirit matched his own. Justin also found great joy in teaching his nieces and nephews how to master the game of chess, often relishing in their excitement when they won a game against him.
He leaves to mourn his beloved parents, Diane and Victor Walmsley; his older sister, Candace (Noah); and his twin brother, Marc Walmsley (Nicole). He will be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews: Tyson, Keaira, Bishop, Zahria, Kingsley, Layla-Lee, Lennon, Harrison, Adeleigh, and Amelia.
Justin was predeceased by his cherished grandparents, George and Marie Downey of Oregan’s, Newfoundland, and Joseph and Sheila Walmsley of Hastings, Ontario; his beloved uncle, Peter Walmsley of Barrie, Ontario; and his cousins, Shyanne and Kyle Barrie of Kippens, Newfoundland. He will also be lovingly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends on both sides of the family.

A PERFECT ENDING
By Justin George Walmsley
From beginning to end,
one captures the middle,
the body between the head and feet.
Using your head you arrange neat,
stay course, don’t stray, do not fiddle;
needful is a perfect conclusion to mend
one’s own perception of the perfect ending.
The funeral service will be live streamed beginning at 1:30pm on Tuesday. A link to the livestream will become available at the top of this page at 1:30pm and a recording will be available to view/download under the Media tab on this page a few days following the service.
