It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jerry Fong, who left us peacefully on the morning of June 25, 2025, at Centenary Hospital – Scarborough at the age of 95.

Beloved husband of the late Lily Kwok Ying Fong. Loving father to Glen, Terry, May-Lynn (Danny), and John (Marylou). Cherished grandfather to Tyler, John, Ryan, and Nolan.

Born in Hoi Pan, China, on May 29, 1930, Jerry was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather at heart. Jerry had a deep passion for all that life had to offer – operating his own restaurant, fishing on his day off, playing mahjong with friends, blueberry picking, making 3D origami baskets, or simply sharing quiet, and meaningful moments with the people he loved.

Jerry was always resourceful and very resilient. Never one to burden anyone with his problems. He always made a better life for himself and for his family. He will be deeply missed by all those he had touched.

A visitation will be held at York Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Road, North York, on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. A private burial at York Cemetery to take place at a later date.
