Jerry Daniel Kucheran was born July 17, 1946 in Red Lake Ontario. He had two younger siblings, Wayne Kucheran and Debbie Kucheran. During his early teenage years he worked in his Father’s garage until the bitter cold winter drove him to seek the (slightly) warmer climate of Toronto, Ontario. In the City he had many adventures and memorable interactions with musicians including meeting John Lennon and Yoko Ono, as well as seeing Gordon Lightfoot and Bob Dylan perform in person during a pub crawl on Yonge Street in the early 60’s.
Jerry had strong passions in life and could be frequently found playing golf, which he relished, pickle ball and bocce ball. He loved dancing to blues and jazz music at attending festivals, notably the Port Credit Blues and Jazz Festival.
He shared many years and wonderful experiences with his beloved wife Tess. Together they created a beautiful life full of family and friends, as well as two amazing animal companions, their dog Molly and cat Simba, whom Jerry adored.
Jerry lived with Parkinsons Disease for many years. He died in peace on his own terms November 3rd, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. He is survived by his daughter Raquel, wife Teresa, stepsons Christopher and Nicholas, sister Debbie, sister in law Marilyn, niece Stacey, and nephews Roddy and Trevor.
He had 79 wonderful years on this earth. He is remembered as a hero in living his life with courage, grace, humour, and compassion.
