Jean Isabelle Hill, age 100, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 16, 2025. Jean was born on October 17, 1924, to James and Helen Imlach. She married William Carswell Hill on June 23, 1951, in Toronto. She is survived by her children, Russell, Robert (Mary-Lou) Janet and June; her granddaughter, Sierra; grandson, Skyler (Sophie); great-granddaughter, and Isabel. In her retirement, Jean was a dedicated volunteer at the Gibson House Museum and lifelong seamstress, knitter and weaver. The family will be having a Memorial Service in her honour in the spring. The family would like to thank Circle of Care, VHA nursing and the team at the North York General Geriatric Supportive Care Outreach Program. Donations in her memory can be made to the Edwin S.H. Leong Geriatric Supportive Care Outreach Program at the North York General Hospital.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at York Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Road, North York, on Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. A Memorial Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 p.m.
