It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Janos Nagy on December 21, 2025 at the age of 92.
John was a treasured husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife Elizabeth; his loving daughters Julia (Peter), Lisa (Frank); and his adoring grandson, Gianni.
Born in Hungary on January 17,1933, John made the difficult decision, following the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, to leave his homeland and build a new life in Canada. He was a hard working practical man and a realist. Above all, he was gentle, kind and loving.
John will forever be loved, deeply missed and always remembered.
Our family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nursing and caregiving staff at Houses of Providence for the excellent care and compassion they provided.
A private graveside service will take place at Pine Hills Funeral Centre and Cemetery in the spring.
