Helena Józefa Gadziala (nee Przybyło) passed away peacefully at the age of 100 in the afternoon of January 24, 2026. She left this world comforted by her son Kazik, his wife, Zofia, and family.

Born on March 19, 1925, in Radgoszcz, Poland, Helena was the daughter of Leon and Weronika. In 1947, she married Józef Gadziała. They had two children, Marysia (Antoni) and Kazimierz (Zofia). Helena was widowed in 1979 after 32 years of marriage and subsequently emigrated to Canada in 1980 to join her son, daughter-in-law and their young family.

Helena will be dearly missed by her 2 children, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, and many other family members and friends. She will be remembered most for her deep faith in God, her warm smile and kindness, never missing the opportunity to help others, and make them laugh. Helena enjoyed sewing, and loved nature and animals.

Special thanks to the staff of Cawthra Gardens Long Term Care Residence who provided compassionate care and comforted Helena over the last 2 years of her life.

The family will receive visitors on Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 5 to 9 pm, at The Simple Alternative Funeral Home (1535 South Gateway Road, Mississauga, ON L4W 5J1). A rosary and prayer service will commence at 8:15 pm.

A funeral mass will be held on Monday, February 2nd, at 10:00 am at St. Maximillian Kolbe Catholic Church (4260 Cawthra Road, Mississauga, ON L4Z 1V8). The funeral Mass can be viewed via the YouTube link found at www.kolbe.ca. Burial to follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery (6933 Tomken Road, Mississauga, ON L5T 1N4).
