With profound sorrow and deep love, we announce the passing of Hanifa Begum on April 10, 2025, at Credit Valley Hospital, surrounded by the warmth and prayers of her beloved family.

Hanifa was the devoted wife of late Shafi Masih, and a loving mother to late Samuel Shafi (eldest son), late Emmanuel Shafi (Nona), and late Ayub Shafi (youngest son). She leaves behind her cherished daughters Zaib Jamil, Noreen Sheeba, and Saima Saqib, who will continue to carry forward her legacy of faith, strength, and resilience.

She was a proud and loving grandmother to Daud Samuel, Jennifer Jamil, Sara Samuel, Eliab Saqib, Abdiel Saqib, and Aviel Saqib, all of whom were blessed by her endless love, wisdom, and prayers.

Born in 1942, Hanifa received her early education up to the 8th grade at Pasroor Hostel, and later pursued her spiritual calling by completing four years of Bible training at Gujranwala Bible School. Before marriage, she served as a dedicated teacher at Kinnaird High School, touching many lives with her kindness and commitment to learning.

Hanifa will always be remembered for her unshakable faith, her optimism, and her tireless spirit. No matter the challenges life brought her way, she faced them with grace, gratitude, and unwavering hope. Her life was a beautiful testimony of strength in adversity and joy in the little things.

Her love, prayers, and gentle presence will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
