In memory of

Gordon Silas Osborne

August 13, 1923 - March 6, 2026

Heaven recently gained the brightest star in our families’ universe.

Gordon Silas Osborne passed away peacefully Friday, March 6th, 2026.

He joins his predeceased beautiful wife of 74 years, Georgina, his siblings Arlene, Bud, Victor and Ron, his daughter Barbara Sharman, his son Wayne Osborne and granddaughter Lori.

Gordon inspired us all with his strength, kindness and his love of the sun, dancing, their former dogs Missy and Peppy, eating McDonalds everyday, and most recently, his love for Starbucks chai tea lattes with whip cream.

His absence already leaves us with a gaping hole in our hearts, as he chose to live with passion every single day.

He leaves behind siblings Linda Coker and Richard Osborne, his son-in-law and buddy, Donald Sharman, his grandson David Osborne, his granddaughters Kimberly Sharman (Jeff) and Keri Jarrett (Mark), and great grandchildren Mark MacDonald (Christine), Luke MacDonald (Ilia), Cody Osborne, and Alexandra, Tyler and Hayley Jarrett. He also leaves behind his beautiful 'great great' grandchildren Sean, Will and Ellie.

Gordon (and Georgina) also loved their neighbors Kym and Colin Gilmour and their children, Payton and Connor who fondly called him “Squirt”. His sense of humour and wit will be missed by so many.

We were fortunate to have him in our lives for a wonderful 102 years and he was very healthy throughout his years. We would like to thank the Scarborough General and Centenary Hospitals for their care during his final days.

Donations in his honor could be made to the humane society for care for animals, any childrens hospital, or a charity of your choosing.
