In memory of

Gloria Patricia Long

August 20, 1952 - May 11, 2026

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Gloria Patricia Long, daughter, sister, aunt, mother, and grandmother.
Born in Malaysia, she emigrated to Canada from England with her family in 1970. She had a son Glen Patrick James Long in 1980.
Gloria tragically lost her son Glen, March 19, 2020. This was an unbearable loss for Gloria, but she was comforted by daily phone calls from her grandson Jack.
She was an avid fan of all things music, and her eclectic taste had no boundaries, as long as the music was good. Her limerence was abound and unshakable for Bob Dylan and Mick Jagger, and her listening library spanned decades from loving the Kinks, to Bruno Mars, Englebert Humperdink, Bryan Ferry, Frank Sinatra to Freeman Dre.... The list is long, and she invested her whole heart into the songs she adored. She is survived by her mother, Helen Spring, her sister Stella Long, her niece Stella Panacci (Christian), Kim Kelly (Travis), and her grandson Jack, who was the absolute love of her life. She will be missed by all who knew her. Thank you to Kim Kelly for giving Gloria such a beautiful grandson, and his brother and sister Owen and Ella, and sharing all your children with our family. The family will announce a celebration of life at a future date.
