Glenn Shun Wo Chan, a devoted family man, passed away peacefully at St. Michael’s Hospital on April 7, 2025, at the age of 85, surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Taishan, Guangdong Province, China, on January 14, 1940, Glenn moved to Toronto at 16, working tirelessly to support his family in China. He learned dry cleaning skills at Central Tech Trade School and worked at Sai Woo Restaurant, where he later became a chef and partner. His dedication helped him reunite his parents and siblings in Canada.

Glenn’s love for his family was evident in the delicious meals he prepared for family dinners. A passionate gardener, he took pride in growing Chinese melons. He cherished his wife Lily, his children Glenda (Peter), Brenda (Dave), Bonnie (Bill), Angela (Chris) and his grandchildren Michael (Lily), Richard (Joo), Ella, Dylan, Sarah, Samantha, Alex and Emily.

Even after two strokes, Glenn maintained a positive attitude, overcoming challenges with resilience. His final years were filled with joy as he watched his grandchildren thrive. Glenn’s legacy of love and kindness lives on, and his family finds comfort knowing he is reunited with loved ones in heaven.
