It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved George (Yorgo) Petkoglu, who left us on February 1st, 2026, at the incredible age of 92. George was a devoted husband of over 40 years to his beloved wife Jeannette. He was a loving father to Paolo (Gina) and his late son Bill and he was an incredible grandfather to Julia & Victoria. Adored brother to Kalopi, Christina and Paul.

George came to Canada from Turkey in 1955. He loved going on cruises and travelling to Aruba. He was known as “Mr. Bond” and loved his Martini’s, but only if they were filled to the brim! He cherished spending time with his grandchildren and especially loved his time with his grand-puppies, Kai & Dakota.

George held such a special place in everyone’s hearts and will leave a lasting impact on all our lives. This loss will forever leave a space that cannot be filled.

Family and Friends will be received at THE SIMPLE ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL CENTRE- MISSISSAUGA 1535 South Gateway Road (at Dixie Road, two lights south of Eglinton) 905-602-1580 on Thursday, February 5th, 2026, for a Funeral Service at 11a.m. Visitation one hour prior.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Princess Margaret Cancer foundation would be appreciated by the family.
