It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Fom Hi Chin on June 6, 2026 at Brampton Civic Hospital at the age of 87. She was predeceased by her son Daniel and husband Fee Va Chin. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Sandra Chong (Rui Chong), grandchildren Natalia Burns (Ryan Burns) and Adriana Chong (Nishanthan Vairavanathan) and great grandchildren Lynara, Soleia and Kai Nishanthan. She leaves behind a wonderful legacy of a large extended family including nieces and nephews in Australia, Brazil, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Africa, United Kingdom and the United States.

Her life included an amazing journey that started in Mozambique to Brazil to Canada. She will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family, generous heart, and her extraordinary cooking. Her meals were treasured traditions at family gatherings, prepared with patience, skill, and love. Through every meal she shared, she brought people together and created memories that will last forever.

The service and interment will take place Wednesday June 10, 2026 at Meadowvale Cemetery, Brampton. A celebration of her memory will be held following the interment. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
