Fojan Moini
August 31, 1970 – April 29, 2026
Toronto, Ontario
It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Fojan Moini, who left this world on April 29, 2026, in Toronto, Ontario, at the age of 55.
Born on August 31,1970, in Tehran, Iran, Fojan’s life was one of courage, resilience, and remarkable spirit. In 1987, she immigrated to Canada alongside her stepmother Pariseh and siblings Dorna and Sam, reuniting with her father, Hossein Moini. She carried with her a deep appreciation for family, culture, and opportunity, building a life defined by determination and heart.
Fojan was a well-educated and accomplished professional, dedicating over a decade to ADP in her last role as a Product Manager leading the development of global payroll solutions. She was deeply passionate about her work in Human Capital Management and took immense pride in her career. Even in the face of significant health challenges, she continued working almost to the end of her long hard-fought battle with a rare incurable cancer, a testament to her strength, commitment, and love for what she did. Fojan had been diagnosed with low-grade serous ovarian cancer (LGSOC), beginning a 14-year journey marked by resilience and grace. She faced her illness with unwavering courage and fierce determination, inspiring all who knew her.
Fojan was the beloved spouse of Domenic Rocchio, and a devoted and loving stepmother to Patrick and Michael Rocchio. She was a cherished daughter to her mother Maryam, and was predeceased by her stepfather Hood, her stepbrother Salar, and her father Hossein. She is also lovingly remembered by her stepmother Pariseh, her siblings Dorna and Sam, her nieces Charlotte, Marquesa and Rosalie, and all her uncles, aunts, cousins and in-laws, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
To know Fojan was to be touched by her light. She was kind, gracious, and fiercely determined—a woman of strength and conviction who approached life with confidence and honesty. A natural mentor and a hardworking professional, she uplifted those around her and led by example. Her charisma was undeniable; she had that rare ability to light up any room she entered.
Fojan found joy in life’s beautiful moments—cooking for loved ones, enjoying the latest venues in Toronto's dining and entertainment scene, listening and dancing to her favourite music and traveling whenever possible. She brought warmth, laughter, and energy wherever she went, leaving behind memories that will be treasured forever. Her legacy is one of love, perseverance, and connection. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and all of those whose lives she enriched.
A celebration of Fojan’s life will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Services Centre on May 6th. The services will begin at 11 am and end at approximately 4:30 pm. In her memory, those who wish may honour her by donating to LGSOC cancer research and support via the following link - https://lgsoc.org/low-grade-serous-ovarian-cancer/ - or by embracing the people they love with the same passion and generosity she showed every day.
