It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eugenia on Friday, January 10, 2025 at the Atrium Kew Beach Retirement Residence in her 94th year. We are heartbroken over the loss, but she was proudly healthy until 93; walking up to the second floor to her bedroom and she never took medication.

Cherished wife of the late Panagiotis. Beloved mother of Helen, Gus and Louis; they were her pride and joy and she lived her life for them first. She was blessed with one son-in-law, John, and two daughter-in-laws, Donna and Areti. Treasured grandmother of Kathy, Jenny, Gena, Peter, Vicki, Pete and Mary; she raised her grandchildren, watched over them daily and took them to the park, the Bluffs, school and anywhere else they needed to go. Loved great-grandmother to Eleni, Zinovia, Vasili, Elizabeth, Loukas, Elaina and Panayiota. Adored sister of her late siblings Spiros, Nikos, Georgios and Amalia.

Christmas Eve 1968 she immigrated with her family to Canada from Greece and was singing Christmas carols on the airplane collecting tips during the flight. She worked at East General Hospital for many years, as well as at multiple other jobs to support her family. Buying her first house within six months of landing in Canada, Eugenia proved she was a strong, independent, dramatic, honest, emotional and caring woman.

There were many moments and memories filled with laughter, she shared stories and entertained those around by singing. She was also a skilled craftswoman, quilting and knitting little booties and blankets for all her loving family members.

Family and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 30 Thorncliffe Park Drive, Toronto on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 11 a.m. Visitation is at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Michael Garron Hospital will be greatly appreciated by the family.
