Edward Kadylak, age 72, went to be with his loving saviour Jesus Christ on Friday May 22, 2026 from Lakeridge Health Hospital, Oshawa, Ontario. He was lovingly surrounded by his wife Olga, daughters Shirley and Evelyn, and sons David and Daniel at the time of his death.
Edward was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina to Ukrainian parents Alexandra and Andrés Kadylak on September 13, 1953. In 1984 Edward moved to Oshawa, Ontario with his wife and two sons. His two daughters would later be born in Oshawa.
More than anything, Edward loved Jesus; nothing else came even close. Telling people about Jesus came naturally to him, whether in line at a coffee shop or at work. Edward loved to write hymns and play the accordion. He loved to play his accordion and sing at English, Spanish, and Ukrainian church services. Edward’s love for the Bible was reflected by his long term involvement with The Gideons International. Edward will be remembered for all the free Bibles he intentionally gifted.
In the typical Argentinian fashion, Edward loved to joke around and tell stories. This is something his 14 grandchildren enjoyed and will remember him for. He loved and enjoyed his grandchildren and his grandchildren loved and enjoyed him. His grandchildren have many fun memories being with their “Dido”, “Obo”, and “Abuelo”.
Edward is survived by his loving wife, Olga Kadylak of Oshawa, Ontario. Edward is also survived by sons David (Madelene) Kadylak of Surrey, British Columbia and Daniel (Vita) Kadylak of Louisville, Kentucky, daughters Shirley (Alberto) García of Ottawa, Ontario and Evelyn (Daniel) Pinto of Houston, Texas, and sister Ana Kadylak of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
