It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Dorothy Wemyss on June 18, 2026, at the age of 87.
Born on August 29, 1938, in England, Dorothy was known for her quick wit and sassy sense of humour, bringing light and laughter to those around her.
Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Selby Wemyss, with whom she shared more than 50 years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, joy and countless cherished memories. On her happiest days, Dorothy loved spending time at their cottage, surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed music, golfing, playing tennis, and travelling to Florida to escape the winter months.
Dorothy was the cherished mother of Lesley (Patrick) and Tracey (Joe). She was a proud and adored grandmother to Ashley (Adam), Kristy (Ryan), Sam, and Kaity (Adam), and a treasured great-grandmother to Parker, Lily, MacKenzie, Peyton, Wyatt, Adriana, Ben, Cole, Addison, and Gabby.
She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend—the heart of our family and the glue that held us together. Her spirit will live on in the memories we hold dear and in the lasting imprint she left on each of our lives.
Dorothy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
