With profound sadness, we remember Doris Herrington, who passed away peacefully on October 18, 2026, at the age of 91. Her gentle presence, generous heart, and unwavering kindness touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
For 71 remarkable years, Doris shared a loving and devoted marriage with her beloved husband, Al Herrington. Together, they built a life founded on love, commitment, and unwavering support for one another. Through life's joys and challenges, they remained constant companions, sharing countless memories, laughter, traditions, and everyday moments that together created a lifetime of love and companionship.
Doris was a loving mother to her daughter, Gail, who predeceased her in June 2025, and to her sons, Paul and his wife Susan, and David and his wife Chris. Family was at the center of her life, and she found her greatest happiness in spending time with those she loved. She was also a proud grandmother to Meaghan, Amy, Jonathon, Emily, Braden, Tyler, and Connor, and a cherished great-grandmother to Dominik, Alistair, and Sydney. She took great joy in watching each generation grow and flourish and treasured every opportunity to gather as a family.
Doris was a gentle and caring woman with a kind heart, yet she was never afraid to speak honestly and from the heart. This beautiful blend of warmth, sincerity, and quiet strength made her truly special to all who knew her. She had a special talent for crocheting and spent countless hours creating beautiful handmade blankets for family and friends. These treasured gifts will continue to provide comfort and serve as lasting reminders of her thoughtfulness, generosity, and love.
Doris will be deeply missed by Al, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her gentle spirit, wise words, and generous nature will remain in their hearts forever.
Though Doris is no longer with us, the blankets she crocheted and the memories she created will continue to bring comfort, connection, and love to her family for generations to come.
