We come together to remember and celebrate the life of Denise Jacqueline Ferreira, June 2nd, 1952 - September 29th, 2025. Denise was a devoted wife to her husband, George Ferreira. She leaves behind her beloved son Eric, his wife Erika, and her cherished grandson Liam — along with a large and loving extended family and countless friends whose lives she touched deeply.
Denise was one of thirteen siblings, born in rural Quebec to a close-knit French-Canadian family — a background that shaped her warmth, resilience, and strong sense of connection. She carried those values with her throughout her life, building and maintaining relationships that spanned decades. Her love grew to extend far beyond her own family to form close bonds with George’s family as well.
If you knew Denise, you knew someone who loved to have fun. She had a remarkable circle of loyal friends. Not everyone reaches their seventies surrounded by so many friends who have stood the test of time. That alone says so much about the person she was. She didn’t just make friends easily; she kept them, and she made sure they knew they mattered.
Denise was the kind of person who stayed in touch — with a phone call, a text, a visit, or a thoughtful card. She remembered birthdays, special dates, and moments that others might forget. And she treasured those connections deeply. She kept every card, every photo, every little memento that held a memory. That was Denise — sentimental in the best way — someone who valued the people in her life and held them close to her heart.
She was also an incredibly hardworking woman, dedicated and loyal in everything she did. During her working years, she served faithfully as an employee of Brampton Civic Hospital, giving her time and care to others. Her commitment and work ethic reflected who she was — dependable, steady, and proud of a job well done.
Denise’s passing leaves a quiet space in our lives that will be hard to fill. We take comfort in knowing that she is at peace, reunited with George, and surrounded by the love she gave so freely during her lifetime.
We will miss her laughter, her kindness, her friendship, and her energy — but most of all, we’ll miss her. May we carry forward her love of connection, her ability to find joy in the little things, and her deep appreciation for the people she loved.
We’ll miss you, Denise — very much.
