Passed away peacefully at Champlain Manor in Orillia after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. David was a dedicated elementary school teacher with the Scarborough/Toronto District School Board. David loved playing the organ, enjoyed many other forms of music and cherished his five dogs. David‘s colourful gardens at his home in Bobcaygeon were admired by his neighbours.
He was predeceased by his parents, George and Helen Hill and his sister Elizabeth Gibson (Robert). He will be mourned by his sister, Madeline Evans, brother-in-law William, and beloved nephews, David (Tanya) and Thomas (Lisa). He always loved hearing about and seeing pictures of his great nieces and nephews - Oliver, Charlotte, Bennett and Audrey Evans. David will be missed by his nieces Shari Vezeau (Bert) and Lisa Brijeski (Tony) and their children. He will be missed by his long-time friend Alex Bostock. A private family service has taken place followed by interment beside his parents at Pine Hills Cemetery in Scarborough. If desired, donations may be made in David’s memory to the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society or the Alzheimer Society.
