We gather today to honour the life of a remarkable woman whose love shaped our world in ways words can scarcely capture. Her passing leaves an ache beyond measure, yet her love remains an everlasting light within us. As the proverb by Helen Keller reminds us “What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes a part of us.” She is now woven into our hearts, our gestures, our values, our laughter, and our strength.

Born on August 17, 1969 in Timișoara România, she was the cherished child of Karoly Tamas and Eugenia Gruia.
Daniela spent much of her career working as a banking administrator at Farber. Beyond her professional achievements, she enjoyed spending time outdoors. She loved going on walks or even for a run, with me accompanying her on my bike. In the Spring, she loved to admire all the flowers and beautiful trees, and to smell the fresh-cut grass. Friends and family will always remember her for being loving, respectful, resilient, fierce, and unafraid to speak her mind.

To her daughter, she was the embodiment of the Romanian saying, "Mama este îngerul păzător al fiecărui copil". She was a guardian angel in every sense; protective, gentle, and unwavering. Her presence made the world feel safe.

Her heart was vast and forgiving. "Inima unei mame este un abis adânc la capătul căruia vei găsi întotdeauna iertare." No matter the circumstance, her love was patient, her forgiveness immediate, her compassion endless.

Her friends and family were rich beyond measure simply because she was ours. A coworker, a friend, a mother and someday would have been a wonderful grandmother. Her voice, her guidance, and her warmth were treasures greater than anything the world could offer.

“Cum e mama, e și fata.” Daniela is lovingly remembered and lives on through her daughter Julia Tamas and her mother Eugenia Gruia.

May her memory be a blessing, her love a compass, and her spirit a gentle reminder that the greatest gift we ever received was simply being loved by her.

She lived a life full of love and laughter and a life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. She was loved and will always be loved. May she forever be remembered as a beloved mother who leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and wisdom. Though we mourn her deeply, we carry her within us—forever a part of who we are.
