It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cindy McNally on Tuesday, March 25th at the age of 53.
We are so proud of her fierce fight for life and unwavering hope during her 2 ½ year battle with cancer.
While we will miss her sweet smile and contagious laugh, we take comfort in knowing she is in the arms of her beloved father Ron McNally, who passed away 11 years ago.
Cindy is survived by her husband Todd Naherne, her mother Joanne O’Rourke, her step mother Donna McNally and so many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, many of which were an integral part in her life story.
Cindy loved family times at Wasaga Beach and Cordova Lake. She especially enjoyed music around the campfire and nights out with her girlfriends. She cherished her time alone with Todd and her cat Faith. Her deep love of Italian food and wine took her to Italy for a once-in-a lifetime experience.
The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Niglas and Nurse Lisa of Lakeridge Health Oshawa Cancer Centre for their care and compassion during Cindy's treatment journey. We would also like to acknowledge the staff and volunteers at Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry. While Cindy was only in their care for a very short time, their comfort and support has left a permanent impact on our hearts.
As per her wishes, we will honour Cindy with a Celebration of Life to be arranged at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to THORNTON CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, (South of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787)
In keeping with Cindy’s generous spirit, donations can be made in Cindy’s name to Oak Ridges Hospice – Port Perry. For further information go to:
