In Loving Memory of Clemisford "Clem" Alexander Syphus (nee Bernard). He was affectionately known as Clem and back home in his early years he carried the pet name Ainsley.
Clem was a loving husband, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, and devoted gardener. He passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 93 on June 1st.
Born in Guyana on April 27, 1933. Clem lived a long and meaningful life filled with love, hard work, and dedication to his family. He was known for his kind heart, gentle nature, and quiet strength. His wisdom, perseverance, and unwavering support touched the lives of all who knew him.
One of Clem's greatest joys was gardening. He took pride in tending to his flowers, vegetables, and outdoor spaces, finding peace and happiness among the plants he nurtured. His garden reflected the patience, care, and attention he brought to every aspect of his life.
A devoted baseball fan, Clem rarely missed the opportunity to watch the Toronto Blue Jays play. Whether celebrating a victory or discussing the latest game with family and friends, his love for the team brought him countless hours of enjoyment and connection.
Above all, Clem cherished time spent with his family. The memories he created, the lessons he shared, and the love he gave so freely will remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife Joan Syphus ( nee Austin), his son Ian Syphus, and his daughter Marlene Syphus. He was a devoted grandfather to Aaron Alexander Syphus, (Alexandria Williams), Markel Sutherland, Sontee Thomas, Denzel Syphus and Faith Syphus. Great-grandfather to Micah Sutherland and Avery Syphus.
