In memory of

Christos Frantzis

April 20, 1946 -  May 17, 2025

On May 17th, 2025, at the age of 79, Christos Frantzis passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by the people he held dear in his heart. Born in a small village in northern Greece, he came to Toronto as a young man with an indomitable spirit, strong will and the unwavering dedication to build a life of his own. Outside of work he found joy in the simple moments spent with his family and friends.

Christos Frantzis was a hardworking, diligent and gentle individual who always put the needs of his family ahead of his own. He was the heart of his family—steady, kind, and deeply loved. He was the devoted husband to Olympia, his partner of over 50 years, proud father to George (Maria), Stavros (Theodora), Alexis (Nichole) and loving grandfather to Chris, Aphrodite, Christopher, Helena and Christian.

He is lovingly remembered by his brother Vasilis (Maria), Brother-in-law Chris (Panayiota) and all his nieces and nephews. As well as his extended family in Canada and Greece,

Christos’s memory will remain in the hearts of his family and friends, and all those who were honoured to have had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will live on for generations to come, inspiring those around him with his kind heartedness, generosity and unforgettable spirit.

A visitation will be held on Friday May 23, 2025 from 4:30pm to 8:30pm. The funeral service will take place on Saturday May 24, 2025 at 10:00am at Elgin Mills Cemetery, 1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill, ON L4S 1M9

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Christos’s memory to the Hellenic Home for the Aged Online Donation – HellenicHome.Org

Condolence messages and memorial donations may be conveyed through this memorial page. Thank you for your understanding, kindness and support during this difficult time.
