It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher John McNulty. Chris passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026 with his daughters by his side.
Born on December 10, 1952, in Rochester, England, Chris was the beloved son of Noel and Cynthia McNulty, and dear brother to Patricia and Francis. In 1986, he proudly immigrated to Canada with his family, where he built a life rooted in love, hard work, and dedication.
Chris was a talented Chef, a devoted Catholic, and a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures—fishing, swimming, nature, history, and time spent at the cottage with family. He was a passionate supporter of England soccer and treasured memories of seeing The Rolling Stones in concert with his best friend John.
He will be deeply missed by his loving daughters and sons-in-law: Lucy McNulty, Elizabeth Harding (Lee), and Suzanne Cassidy (Ryan), and by his cherished grandchildren Drew and Grayson Harding, and Liam and Charlotte Cassidy.
Chris will be remembered as a hardworking, passionate, and loving man, known for his incredibly dry sense of humour—and jokes that could last 45 minutes.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. A reception will follow from 3:00–6:00 p.m. at 1717 Avenue Road (party room) all are welcome, including children.
In lieu of flowers, Chris requested that donations be made to Covenant House, saying, “They need it more than we do.”
“It’s only rock and roll, but I like it.”
Forever in our hearts.
