Chong (John) Chai passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026, at the age of 86, in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
He is survived by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Kim; his daughter, Karine (Micheal); his sons, Jesse (Alice) and Jay (Helen); and his four grandchildren, Evan, Jonathan, Joshua, and Ella.

Chong had a love for golf and always looked forward to the season each year. He also enjoyed good food and the simple pleasures of life, especially when shared with family. He lived a life defined by hard work, resilience, and love for his family. He was a steady presence, a role model, and someone his family could always count on. His legacy will live on in the lives he helped shape.

Visitation will be held on Saturday May 2, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
The Funeral Service will be held immediately after at 10:00am followed by the graveside service at 11:00am

A reception will be held following the service at the Mandarin, 87 Matheson Blvd E, Mississauga, Ontario, L4Z 1X8.
