It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Chantal Flaccavento, on August 12, 2026 at the age of 80.

Chantal built a beautiful life with George (Giorgio) her devoted husband and soulmate of 56 years. Together, they created a home where family always came first and where love, generosity, and laughter were abundant. Chantal leaves behind her beloved husband and her three loving daughters, Monique (Brian), Martine (Bruce), and Giselle (Steve). She was a proud grandmother to Abigail, Aidan, Isaac, and Owen, who brought immense joy to her life. Chantal is also survived by her loving brother, Gerard (Colleen) Infeld. She is predeceased by her older brother, Georges, and parents, Samuel (Serge) and Fortunée (Fern) Infeld.

Family was always at the heart of Chantal's life. She was a devoted wife, dedicated mother, and doting grandmother who took great joy in caring for and supporting those she loved. She expressed her love through countless thoughtful acts: remembering every birthday and anniversary, preparing memorable homemade meals, and championing her daughters in all that they did. She provided her children with opportunities to learn and explore, filling their childhoods with activities and experiences that helped shape the lives they lead today.

A lifelong learner, Chantal earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto's University College and later pursued studies at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and was also granted a Bachelor of Education degree. Her intelligence, curiosity, and determination remained evident throughout her life. Chantal also loved to travel, especially on cruises, and treasured the many adventures and memories she shared with family and friends along the way.

Above all, Chantal was remarkably resilient. Throughout many years of health challenges, she faced each obstacle with courage, determination, and grace. Her strength of spirit was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Though our hearts are broken by her loss, we find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and in the enduring example of love, strength, and generosity that she gave us. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished and in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
