Carol Haid (nee Coles)
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our Mum and Nana, Carol Haid, at the age of 79. Carol passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026, at 11:00 am with her two daughters by her side. She has entered heaven to rejoin her beloved family.
She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Ivy Coles; her husband, Brian Haid; and her siblings, Ann Tekavec, Joyce Compton, and Peter Coles.
Carol was born and raised in Chiswick, England, and came to Canada in April of 1966. She is survived by her children, Kimberley (Bob) Moyer, Jennifer (Chris) Kelusky, and Brian Haid. She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Ashley (Ben) Hart, Thomas Moyer, John Moyer, Adam (Brianna) Kelusky, Bobby Moyer, and Kirstin Kelusky. She is also cherished by her great-grandchildren, Sutter and Bowen Hart, Oaklynn Mae Kelusky, and Baby Kelusky (arriving in August).
Carol retired from the Durham District School Board and was a custodian at many schools throughout the Durham Region.
Throughout her life, Carol was a woman of many passions. She played darts for many years and was incredibly creative, enjoying crafts such as designing and making her own greeting cards. She also cherished her daily dog-walking routine, where she shared countless laughs with her dog walking friends and loved all of her pets dearly.
