Carol Anita Padmore, affectionately known as “Nan,” lived a life full of love, laughter, and undeniable presence. Born on December 7, 1937, to Evelyn Winn and Arthur, Carol was a woman of strength, warmth, and generosity who brought joy and comfort to everyone around her.
She was the devoted wife of Eric Padmore, a cherished partner through all seasons of life. Carol was a proud and loving mother to Estelle and Randy, and her heart overflowed with pride for her grandchildren: Andreya, Andre Jordan Eric, Delanie, and Cassandra. Her family was her world, and she embraced each role — wife, mother, grandmother — with fierce love and unwavering dedication. She is survived by her siblings Paul Angelo Winn (Diana), Richard Arnold Winn (Doreen) and Ellen Trotman, several great-grandchildren and many loving and devoted nephews and nieces.
Carol worked for many years as a secretary, but her greatest accomplishments were found in the lives she touched through her kindness, humour, and deep care. She found joy in the simple and beautiful parts of life: driving around town, attending church, gathering loved ones for memorable moments, and visiting her favourite spot, Café Diplomatico.
Her personality was larger than life — social, giving, and always ready with a warm welcome or a playful remark. Her well-loved sayings, “Who goes there, friend or foe?” and “Where’s Hendrix?” were just a glimpse into her fun-loving and unforgettable character.
Carol’s life was a shining example of love in action. She gave endlessly, cared deeply, and lived fully. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, compassion, and cherished memories that will live on in all who knew and loved her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
