The family of Bruce Hyslop sadly announces his sudden passing on September 29, 2026, at Ajax Pickering Hospital.
Bruce was born in Hamilton, Ontario, to the late Edward and Louisa Hyslop. On September 26, 1981, he married the love of his life, Sandra (née Stager); the couple just celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary together.
A devoted father and grandfather, Bruce is lovingly remembered by his three children: Lynn Allen (Kevin) of Pickering, Allan Hyslop (Kylie) of Toronto, and Bennett Hyslop of Toronto. He was immensely proud of his two grandchildren, Edwin and Vaughan Allen.
He is also survived by his sister Suzanne Pritchard of Kingston (the late Jim Pritchard), Carol Rondeau of London, his brother Brian Hyslop (Jeanne) of Collingwood, and brother-in-law Dave Stager (Nikki) of Port Colborne, as well as three nieces and six nephews.
Bruce dedicated his early career to occupational health and safety with MSA Canada and Racal Canada. Later, he brought his warmth and work ethic to Home Depot at Gerrard Square, where he worked faithfully from the store's opening day.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Parkinson Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 6th from 2-5 pm at the home of Lynn and Kevin Allen, 724 Yeremi Street, Pickering
