Betsy Vasiliki Vourantoni was a beautiful, deeply caring woman whose greatest joy was her family. She loved nothing more than her sons, Anthony and James, their wives, Rose and Ayako, her beloved grandsons, Emile and Felix, and her cherished Greek family of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Family was the centre of her world and at the heart of everything she did.
Betsy's passion for natural healing began with a mother's love. Determined to find answers to her children's health challenges, she embarked on a lifelong journey of learning and discovery. Guided by what she always called her "little voice," she listened to her intuition and allowed her faith to guide her.
Through Health with Herbs and the Nature's Sunshine community, Betsy inspired countless people to believe in their body's remarkable ability to heal and to embrace hope. Many of her clients became lifelong friends who valued not only her herbal and iridology approach to wellbeing, but also her kindness, compassion, and unwavering encouragement.
She visited those who were sick, comforted those nearing the end of life's journey, and generously shared her knowledge through iridology classes and one-on-one mentoring. For Betsy, love and care always mattered more than money.
In her later career, Betsy built upon the teachings of one of her greatest mentors and developed a practice called Wisdom Development. Through this emotional healing modality, she helped countless people improve their relationships, their outlook on life and their happiness. Wisdom Development gave her immense satisfaction.
As a loving mother, cherished yaya, devoted sister, treasured friend, and respected health practitioner, Betsy had a special gift for making people feel truly seen, heard, valued, and loved.
Life was not always easy, but Betsy met every challenge with courage, grace, and unwavering faith. She chose love and care over fear, kindness over judgment, and faith over doubt. She reminded us to live with an “Attitude of Gratitude”, to always remember that “The best is yet to come”, and above all, to “N.G.U. - Never Give Up”!
Betsy will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched.
Her love, wisdom, and words of encouragement will continue to live on through all who knew and loved her.
