It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, Nana, Great Nana Bernice McCredie (née Frobel) on July 15, 2025. Bernice was born in Little Bookham, Surrey in England in 1944, and came to Canada in 1945 with her mother Evelyn Haukland (pre-deceased), arriving at Pier 21 and settling in Ottawa, where she grew up with her dear cousin and friend Exida (pre-deceased). Bernice later moved to Toronto to be with her loving husband Robert "Bob" Lindfield, and they had been together for nearly 50 years at her time of passing.

She will always be remembered by her daughter Brenda and son Graham (Christine), grandchildren Kirk (Needhi), Brock (grand fur baby Rupert), Ryan (Beth), and Jaena, great grandchildren Dahlia and Cohen. Bernice will also be deeply missed by her family in Ottawa, including her special niece Cindy-Lee and great nieces Jamie and Caitlin.

A heartfelt thank you to all of the friends, neighbours, and family for always looking out for Bernice and Bob and for their support in this time.

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Bernice McCredie will be held on Saturday, July 26th at the Simple Alternative Funeral Centre (1535 South Gateway Rd. in Mississauga). Visitation will be from 10-11AM, with the service commencing at 11AM.

Should anyone so desire, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the SickKids Foundation, Covenant House Toronto, or a charity of their choice in Bernice's memory.
