Bair-Jia passed away peacefully on April 16th, 2026, at the age of 82. Born in 1944 in Guizhou, China, she journeyed to Taiwan at a young age before building a beautiful life in Toronto with her late husband, David Huang.
A dedicated Registered Nurse at Scarborough General Hospital for over 30 years, she defined her life by a quiet, unwavering commitment to care. She was a woman of deep artistic grace, finding expression in Chinese watercolor, calligraphy, and a lifelong devotion to the performing arts.
Her approach to charitable work was as personal as it was profound; she believed that true service was rooted in consistent, humble acts of kindness within her community. Whether at the hospital or in her neighborhood, she quietly sought out those who needed support, offering her time and wisdom without reservation. She was the heart of our family, a devoted sister to her four sisters and one brother, and a source of gentle guidance to us all. She leaves behind her four sons, Ambrose, Johann (Nahid), Theodore (Helena), and Jonathan (Pat), and her beloved grandchildren, Arya, Elias, Lucien, Cadence, and Emery.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Carefirst Seniors & Community Services Association, continuing the legacy of kindness she lived every day.
