It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony Throuvalas, age 84, who transitioned peacefully on April 29th, 2025.
Anthony is survived by his former spouse Dina Throuvalas (née Milios); their children, Jerry (Gaetana) Throuvalas, Mary (George) Tashos, Andrea Throuvalas; his son, Christos Throuvalas; his grandchildren, Paul, Andrew, Alexander, Dennis, Victor, George, Dean, Lucas, and many other loved ones.
Anthony was born in Athens, Greece, on November 15th, 1940, to his parents Marianthy and Anargyros. After completing his education in electrical engineering and marrying his bride Dina, they immigrated to Canada, where they built a life in Toronto. Anthony flourished as an entrepreneur—a tribute to his tireless work ethic, business acumen, and fearless approach to life. His life was marked by reinvention and leadership; he built and ran a successful business that spanned three decades, creating opportunities not only for himself but for others around him. He lived his life bravely and wasn’t afraid to take risks. He supported his friends, inspired those close to him, and touched many lives through his generosity, resilience, and strength of character.
Anthony lived fully and unapologetically on his own terms. In the later years of his life, he divided his time between Greece and Germany, enjoying his days alongside his loving companion, Suzanne Frank Kilner.
