It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Adrian Edward Stephan Andrews, who passed away after a long illness on September 17, 2026, surrounded by his cousins and family.
Adrian was born on June 17, 1969, in Guyana, South America, and was the second child of Bridget and Alphonso Andrews. In 1977 at the age of 8, Adrian migrated with his parents and family to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where he would build the life and memories that became such an important part of his family’s story.
From a young age, Adrian was an exceptional athlete. Throughout elementary and middle school, he distinguished himself as an outstanding track and field star, demonstrating the determination, discipline, and competitive spirit that would remain part of his character throughout his life.
After graduating from high school, Adrian pursued the Tool and Die Maker trade, developing a career that reflected his natural ability to work with his hands and his dedication to learning a skilled profession. Never one to limit himself, Adrian later completed his business degree, expanding his knowledge and creating new opportunities for himself.
Adrian also followed his passion for landscaping, a field that allowed him to express his creativity and love of working outdoors. Although he eventually returned to his career in tool and die, his willingness to explore different paths was a testament to his independent spirit and determination to pursue the things that interested him.
Outside of work, Adrian enjoyed martial arts and bodybuilding. Fitness and physical strength were important to him, and these hobbies reflected his discipline, focus, and commitment to challenging himself.
Adrian will be remembered as a beloved brother, uncle, family member, and friend. His life touched many people, and the memories he created with his family will continue to live on.
Adrian leaves to cherish his memory of his sisters, Gale Ellis (Rawle Ellis) and Arlene Andrews (Rashleigh) and his brother, Alwyn Andrews (Nicole) and his partner Elisa Lau.
He will be lovingly remembered by his nephews, Pierre Ellis, Christopher Ellis, Timothy Howard, and Ayden Andrews, and his nieces, D’onna Ellis and Ayshia Andrews, and great niece and great nephews along with his extended family, cousins, relatives, and friends who were blessed to know him.
Though Adrian’s journey on this earth has come to an end, his memory will remain in the hearts of those who loved him. We will remember his strength, his determination, his talents, his passions, and most of all, the place he held in our family.
Rest peacefully, Adrian. You will be missed.
