It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Zygmunt Ryzowicz on February 28, 2025 at Juravinski Hospital, surrounded by close family, after a courageous battle with a rare cancer.

Born in Jarantowice, Poland on November 29, 1947 to Jan and Liliana (nee Tuczynska) he was a dear brother to Janusz, Waldemar, Zdzislaw, Jolanta and Dorota. A devoted husband to Romana (nee Stankowska), loving father to Izabela (Damian) and Robert; and a proud grandfather to Emanuel. Zygmunt moved to Canada in 1988 and worked hard to establish a new life for his whole family. Over the years he resided in Niagara Falls, Mississauga, Brampton and Grimsby. Before retirement he worked mainly in manufacturing of electronic and energy utilizing products.

Zygmunt’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and long walks in nature. He had a special connection with kids of all ages, enjoyed getting to know people and travel. Zygmunt’s thoughtful and considerate approach to life helped him overcome life’s challenges and persevere no matter the circumstances. Above all, Zygmunt’s loving spirit and kindness knew no bounds as he deeply touched all that he encountered along his life’s journey. Even when faced with his own illness he continued to care for the comfort and wellbeing of those whom he met. He will be deeply missed by all his family and everyone that knew him both in Poland and in Canada.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th from 9:30-10:30am at Simple Alternative Funeral Centre in
Mississauga, followed by Mass at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish and burial at Assumption Catholic Cemetery
