It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Zorida Rampersad. Zorida passed away peacefully on Friday, March 15, 2019 at the Credit Valley Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Zorida was born in San Fernando, Trinidad on December 24, 1956 and was the youngest daughter of Sookoor Mohammed and Rasulan Mohammed. She is survived by her husband Ramnarase Rampersad, sons and their wives, Darren and Zorina, Bevan and Joanne, Sheldon and Claudia, Lindon and Sharon, by her grandchildren Shellena, Fareed, Jasmine, Jayden, Adrian, Abigail, Emily, and Paisley. She is also survived by her sisters Amin and Dadlol and her brothers Roshan and Bobby and nieces and nephews.

Zorida was a woman of faith who enjoyed life to the fullest and who loved to cook for family and friends, loved to travel, tend to her garden, listen to music, playing Candy Crush Saga and All Fours. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and was always there to lend a friendly ear and help in any way she could, even if it was only to cook your favourite dish.

Zorida will forever be remembered by her family and friends as a caring, kind loving person. We will always carry your memory in our hearts.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, March 22 at Meadowvale Funeral Centre. Funeral service will be held at Meadowvale Funeral Centre, with a visitation from 9:30 a.m. with the service starting at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 23.
