In memory of

Zalina Khan

August 15, 1939 -  January 8, 2021

Affectionately known by family and friends as "Molly" (nee Elvira Sookoo) was born in the township of San Fernando, in Trinidad and Tobago to parents Patrick and Rose Sookoo on Tuesday, August 15, 1939. She has been survived by her loving daughters: Zennifer Chantiam (Samuel Khan), Farozine Khan (Vito Siciliano), Sadiekah Alvarez (Victor Alvarez), Felisha Khan, Rarziah Khan (Garfield McGhie), Sally Khan and Eshria Khan; and predeceased, son Azie Khan (Rebekah Khan) and daughter, Anniefah Khan. In addition, she has left a legacy of seventeen adoring grandchildren and eleven adorable great-grandchildren. Zalina was an avid fan of wrestling, a passion she shared with her grandchildren. She deeply appreciated all of the Lord's creation, especially hummingbirds and hibiscus flowers. As a proud mother and grandmother, she always advocated for the scripture "God is Love" and this will forever be endowed in the memories of those who knew her. She passed away on Friday, January 8th, 2021, at Providence Nursing Home in Scarborough, Ontario.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, January 14th, 2021 at 10 in the morning. Above all else, faith in Jesus Christ was at the center of Zalina's life, and her loving memory can be summed up in one passage: "God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him." 1 John 4:16
