I, Walter Christian Ernzsten, son of late Walter Thomas Ernstzen and Yvonne Jean Sutton (nee Erntzen, de Cerff) born on the 10-10-1958.
My Dad, Walter, passed way 08-10-1976. Mom decided to emigrate to Canada with Norma, Yvonne and Shaun in May 1980. Later in 1980 Mom returned to South Africa to assist me going through a rough and tough time in my life.
In January 1981, I bought a house in Cape town, South Africa, where Mom stayed with me for a few months and things started to go better in my life. Mom returned to Canada 1981.
I married Magdalene the 5th February, 1982 and had 2 children. Chantal was born 07-05-1982 and Allister was born on 19-05-1989. Chantel, who now is a single parent, the mother of Rashan, Kirsten-Leigh and Seth. Allister and Monique have Taylor and Brandy. That makes Magdalene and I grandparents of 5 and Mom a great grandmother of 5 grandkids.
Mom visited South Africa many times and I lost count of her visits.
I just want to thank God for Mom’s health and safe travels to S.A.
Mom happened to be in S.A. when her brother, Kenneth, who was the first of the siblings to pass away.
Another visit, years later, she was in S.A. when her brother, Christian, passed away.
I would like to thank all family and friends who made Mom’s visits to S.A. happy and memorable stays. I would like to thank God for the reminder of going to Canada in 1999, meeting Mom and Bob. Meet Norman, Yvonne, Shaun and Gary. Also Aunty Joy and Uncle Bill, Brian and Trevor and friends of.
In 2018, Magdalene and I visited Mom, Norman, Yvonne, Shaun, Bailey, Eden, Gary and Laura. We had the privilege of celebrating Mom’s 85th birthday in Canada.
Mom was a strong willed person. Will miss the daily greetings.
