Wong Yuk Ngie 黄毓義
September 11, 1927 – February 25, 2020

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Wong Yuk Ngie on February 25, 2020, surrounded by family in his home, at the age of 92. A devoted husband, brother, father, grand-father and great-grand father, he led an exemplary life of hard work, dedication and kindness. Born in China, he moved to Malaysia penniless, and by sheer determination, built a successful business. Ultimately, he immigrated with his family to Canada. Wherever he lived, he embraced the culture and contributed to society as best he could.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, their son and seven daughters, 16 grand-children and 6 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his beloved younger brother and sister and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre
160 Beecroft Rd., North York, ON M2N 5Z5
on Saturday February 29, 2020 at 12:00 noon
followed by Funeral Service at 1pm, with interment to follow

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Centre for Immigrant and Community Services would be appreciated by the family.
