In Loving Memory Of Yuet Sim Chan 陳江月嬋太夫人
March 19, 1930 - January 31, 2017

Yuet Sim Chan passed away on January 31, 2017 at the Yee Hong Centre For Geriatric Care (頤康中心) of Alzheimer's disease.
Yuet Sim is predeceased by her husband Jim Mun Chan (陳振文). Survived by her sons John, Tom (Elaine Wong), daughters Jeanne (Larry Chan), Mae (Ian Campbell), four grandchildren Mitchell, Nicholas, Elayne (Dylan Penebre), Lesley (Kenneth Rose), great grandchildren Joey Penebre, Cadence Penebre, Scarlette Penebre and Kaitlynn Rose.

Yuet Sim enjoyed sewing, gardening and baking. She was proud of the vegetable garden, especially the string beans and huge winter melons which she happily shared with family and friends. Mom's rice krispy squares, egg tarts, pork and coconut buns were among our favourite baked goods. Yuet Sim was quiet, modest, and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed dearly.

The family would like to extend gratitude and appreciation to the Yee Hong Scarborough Finch staff for taking good care of our mom for the past 3 1/2 years.

Elaine, I am so sorry for your loss. It was bitter/sweet burying Sifu Gin in September since I have always had a relationship with Sifu Gin but only had the opportunity to meet your extended family at his funeral. Please know that all of Hong Luck supports your family and we offer our strength.

Dear Elaine, Tommy and all your family,

I am sad to hear that you must suffer another great sorrow. So swiftly following upon September's sudden loss of Sifu Gin, it shows how closely their hearts and spirits were united in life and now in death. May your memories of happier times be a comfort to you all in this dark moment, and may remembering their exemplary lives and permanent achievements provide some consolation. On behalf of the entire Hong Luck community I offer our most sincere condolences and hope that this year will still bring much happiness and good fortune despite your present loss.
