In memory of

Yuet Kiu Kwan

April 20, 1934 -  February 28, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Yuet Kiu Kwan. She passed away peacefully, on February 28, 2023, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was 88 years old.

Yuet Kiu was a true matriarch. Immigrating her family to Canada in 1969, she and her husband, Yuen Wan, worked tirelessly to provide a home and opportunities for their children. Together with her sister, Lau Kiu, and brother, Kent’s families, they built a solid unit that allowed the following generations to flourish. She would proudly boast about the accomplishments and successes of her children and grandchildren. Despite her large family, she always provided support and love for everyone. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly looks like.

Yuet Kiu is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Yuen Wan; 4 children: daughter, Mai and son-in-law, Bruce; son, Wayne and daughter-in-law, Angie; daughter, Suzanne and son-in-law, Rodney; and daughter, Cap and her partner, Terri; 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. They invite you to join them for a celebration of her life.

Poh poh,
Your laugh, your love, your sense of humour will forever be ingrained in my memory. You brought us all together for countless family gatherings, loved to play jokes on grandpa, and always made sure to tell us when we looked so so pretty (even though we knew what it truly meant, haha). Jeremie will always be known as "Andrew" because of you and I'm sorry you could never pronounce my kids' names. You were the true matriarch of our family and we miss you so much. I love you. Rest in peace Grandma. Xxx
