In memory of

Yin Chih Lee

July 16, 1934 -  January 5, 2021

LEE, YIN CHIH. July 16, 1934 – January 5, 2021. Wife of over 60 years to Ming Ho. Loving sister of the late Kvn Yee Lee (Sim Chun Hui) and the late Lip Yee Lee (Lee Lew Gim Song). Caring mother of 4 children, Chuck Ho (Kim Chen), Jane Ho (Gordon Chhor), Ted Ho (Wendy Ma), and Chris Ho (Jasmine Tang). Beloved grandmother to 10 grandchildren: Jennifer, Kevin, Jessica, Auston, Allison, Amillia, Anika, Madison, Kian, and Reilly.

Yin Chih was born in Taishan, Guangdong Province, China and immigrated to Kingston, Ontario to start a new life with her young family in 1980. In China, she was an elementary school teacher, a nurse, and a midwife. Upon moving to Canada, she worked tirelessly to provide for her children, as a dishwasher at a Chinese restaurant in Kingston and as a sewing machine operator at a garment factory in Toronto. Yin Chih loved to sew and make traditional Chinese herbal soups for her children and grandchildren.

She was a kind, gentle woman with a warm smile. Watching her children and grandchildren grow to become healthy and successful people made her extremely happy. Her grandchildren never left her house hungry, and she would always make sure they would leave with red envelopes. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Donations in her memory can be made to North York General Hospital.
