In memory of

William S. Wolfe

February 3, 1927 -  October 27, 2021

It is with great sadness that we share the news that our beloved William (Bill) Stoyo Wolfe left this earth on Wednesday, October 27th, 2021 after a brief illness, at the age of 94 with his wife and daughter by his side.

Bill was a cherished husband, father, and grandfather who valued family above all else, followed by his friends and community.

After coming to Canada from Bulgaria in his 20s, he met his beloved wife Elizabeth (Betty) at a summer party, where as the story goes she took pity on his pathetic attempt at cooking in an effort to impress her, and that was how he won her over! They married in 1955 and shared a very good, long life together for 66 years. They loved to camp in their early years but later built a cottage together after their daughter Stephanie joined them, and enjoyed cottage life for many years. Stephanie kept them very busy and introduced them to new adventures such as taking up downhill skiing in their late 40s and they credited her for keeping them young.

Bill & Betty travelled together to many different places but one of their most enjoyable trips was driving across the Western provinces to British Columbia. They also shared a love for dancing and would grace the dance floor at many a party over the years.

Bill was thrilled when his granddaughter Chelsea was born, whom he affectionately called "Princess" and 3 years later his grandson Christopher, whom he called "the Captain" and enjoyed his retirement as the doting Dado to them both.

Bill will be greatly missed by his wife Betty, his daughter Stephanie and son-in-law Derek, and his grandson Christopher, as well as extended family and friends. Bill will now join his cherished granddaughter Chelsea who predeceased him in 2020.
