Winston Agustus Arnold, 67, of Mississauga, Ontario, passed away on February 8, 2024.
Winston was born on October 23, 1956, to Anah Bridge in Kellits, Jamaica. Winston migrated to Canada as a teenager and attended Applewood Heights Secondary School. Winston spent his early adulthood working at Canadian Meat Packers as a butcher and later practiced as a paralegal with landlord and tenant affairs for a brief period.
Winston welcomed four children into the world, sons Michael and Sheldon, and daughters, Alecia, and Maheera.
Winston enjoyed bike riding, fixing bicycles, drawing, and sketching creative ideas, martial arts, leather craftmanship, gardening, and cooking.
Winston was creative, funny, charismatic, and charming. He enjoyed helping people, could be stubborn, and was magnetic in social settings. Winston enjoyed dressing ‘sharp’, often donning a suit, tie, dress shoes and with immaculate grooming. Those around him joked that he could sell ice to a polar bear, as he was great with his words. He was liked by those around him and made friends everywhere he went.
Winston is predeceased by his siblings Cherry Shand & Fitzgerald Shand. He is survived by his mother Anah Shand, son Michael Arnold, son Sheldon Arnold (Rita Arnold), daughter Alecia Douglas (Dashan Douglas), and daughter Maheera Arnold. Winston is survived by his grandchildren King Arnold, Isaiah Arnold, and Charlotte Arnold. Winston is also survived by siblings May France (Winston France), Lorna Shand, Steve Shand, Larry Shand (Delilah Shand), and many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces, nephews.
Winston will be remembered for his infectious laugh, sense of humour, and matter of fact way that he communicated. He will be missed very dearly.
Viewing will be held at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centres – Mississauga on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 10:00am-12:00pm. Service to follow at 12:00pm.
