In memory of

Winnifred "Winnie" Tobin

December 29, 1941 - May 3, 2026

It Is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved mother/“Gram”, Winnie Tobin (nee Irvine) on Sunday May 3rd, 2026 at the age of 84. Mom passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Oak Ridge’s Hospice in Port Perry.

Winnie was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Michael (2021) and her eldest son Michael (1985). She will be sadly missed by her children Robert (Stasey) and Nancy (Tim), as well as her three grandchildren Kyle (Mel), Adam and Emma. She is also survived by four of her nine siblings; Jean Walker, Herb Irvine, Darlene Gibson (Brian), and Ken Irvine (Carol) and many nieces and nephews.

Winnie raised her three children in Port Perry where she resided for almost the entirety of her life. She will be remembered most for her love of family, her kindness and a lifelong passion for the game of tennis.

A private family service is being held to honour her. It would make her smile to know that all who knew her hugged their kids/grandkids and maybe played a game of tennis with her in their thoughts.

A very special thank you to the staff at the Oak Ridge’s Hospice who were so kind, caring and compassionate during this very difficult time.
