In the Lord’s time, on Friday, September 16, 2022, he called to himself his child Wilma Huibers at the age of 85. Born in Wierden, Overijssel, The Netherlands on October 7, 1936, she immigrated to Canada together with her family at the age of 11 years old. She was predeceased by her first husband, †John van der Boom who loved her dearly.
Beloved wife of John Huibers for 35 years. Loving Mom and Oma of Carl & Edith van der Boom (Nicole & David Waenink, Kyle & Lucy van der Boom), Debbie & John Verburg (Rebecca & Mark Wissink, Cole & Anjela Verburg, Danielle & Geert Rijke, Ian & Abbey Verburg, Bethany & Dustin Gamble), Anita & Steve Kingston (Matthew), Ron Huibers (Reuben, †Zachary, Aaron), Ellen & Jeff Bangma (Nicole & Jeremy Solomatenko, Ashley & Jordan Drury), Perry & Debbie Huibers (Rachel & Mike Latchford, Amanda Sloan), Grant & Michelle Huibers (Cameron & Therese, Brenden) and 33 great-grandchildren. Dear daughter of †Cornelius and †Geertje Oostlander and dear sister of †Peter Oostlander, †Mary DeSchiffart, and Alyce La Rocque. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Wilma was always a joyful and beautiful woman, who treated those she met with warmth and genuine care.
Her legacy will surely be evident t in the hearts, lives and laughter of her clan.
