Willis Chong passed away peacefully at home in Toronto on February 9, 2021. He is survived by his four children (Joseph, Mary, Dickson, and Jackmen) and six grandchildren (Stephanie, Steven, Sean, Jason, Amanda, and Andrew).

Willis was born in Guangzhou (Canton), Southern China, and immigrated to Canada in 1951. He had to overcome many challenges from learning English to establishing his own laundry business. He ran the business for over 30 years, finally retiring in the late1980's. He worked hard all his life to provide a future of opportunity for his family.

He was community minded, a member of the Lung Kong Ten Yee Association for over 60 years. He looked out for other people all his life. As a sponsor for others to settle in Canada and also as a landlord who charged affordable rents.

He liked socializing, and he loved to go on trips and excursions.

He will be truly missed by family and by all those lives he has touched over the years.

Due to current COVID restrictions a private family funeral service will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery and Funeral Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto at 12 noon on Friday February 19, 2021.
