In memory of

William Thomas 'Bill' Groves

November 10, 1936 -  January 12, 2024

Surrounded by the love of his family, William Thomas Groves, affectionately known as Bill, peacefully departed this world on January 12, 2024, at the age of 87, while under the compassionate care of Providence Healthcare. Bill was the beloved husband of Lorraine Groves for 64 years and the loving father of Heather Groves. His role as the cherished Papa to Liam and Lauren Sulev brought immeasurable joy, and his grand-dogs Chico and Gracie held a special place in his heart.

Bill's journey began with a love for trades cultivated during his time at Danforth Tech High School. This passion propelled him into an apprenticeship and eventually to a fulfilling career at the Bank of CIBC, where he spent the majority of his professional life as a dedicated print setter. Bill's craftsmanship and work ethic were not only evident in his career but also in the countless projects and repairs he undertook at home, including his impeccable gardens and lawn, leaving a lasting impact on those around him.

Bill was one of a kind. He was a family man through and through, who treasured good times with extended family, including nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A hardworking and gentle soul, Bill possessed a naturally kind personality and an optimistic view of life. He consistently sought to support and uplift others, leaving a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to know him. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Providence Healthcare for their compassionate care during his time there.

A private family service will be held, with a broader celebration of Bill's life planned for the summer.

The love of family is life's greatest blessing, and Bill Groves exemplified this sentiment. We feel blessed to have known and loved him. Bill, you will be profoundly missed, and your memory will forever reside in our hearts, where you will remain "perfect" to us.

My condolences to the family.
Bill, well I knew him later in life but he was great, never disappointed and had an excellent love of his beautiful wife, beautiful daughter and his most loved grandkids.
He’s always been a fellow to love all and not actually complains about too much.

Bill is very sorely missed,I will never forget him .
